9TH ENTITY - Diabolical Enticement Of Blood And Lust9thentitry.jpg
(Butchered records, 2008)
Some kind of black metal with death metal vocals. The music is good and has great crossings, fitting solos and are actually well arranged. The vocals are the only thing that bothers me. Antonio Acuña  articulates pretty well and has good aggression in his vocals, but they become pretty monotone after a while. He should stick to the Spanish lyrics because his English aren't the best and doesn't deliver the same feeling as with the Spanish ones - this is only notable when you read the lyrics! With real black metal vocals and a mighty production, this could be awesome! Especially with the fucking great 'Dogma Del  Padecimiento'!! They vary alot and in tempos and I really dig the groove in 'De Sangre Y Lujuria'. I find the intro and the outro pretty pointless, but otherwise it's close but no cigar! (5/10 - Padde)

ABDICATE - Relinquish The Throne
abdicate.jpg
(Sevared records, 2008)
Various styles of death metal is covered on this record! Brutal death metal with chaotic grind, old school death metal with pure evilness and so on. I would also like to think of 'Argument Of Kings' as a pure grind song with it's jucty over 30 second duration. The final track, the title track, gives me Arkhon Infaustus-vibes! I like this one because of it's variation and the also play it well, but the vocals sounds pretty cupped - but then again, they fit the music wll! I find Abdicate pretty interesting and you should totally check them out! (7/10 - Padde)

ABORTED FETUS - Goresoaked Clinical Accidentsabortedf.jpg
(Coyote records, 2008)
When I bought this 8-tracked disc of total madness, I had never heard of this band. I just went on the name of the band and the album and predicted that I would like it. The cover says 'Russian massive brutality', and I thought to myself that Russians are brutal people so why the fuck would this disc not be good? I put it in the stereo and got instantly blown away! Russian Massive Brutality - goddamn right!!! These guys deliver lethal insanity with percision and the vocals are equally sick. High pitched squeal that mirrors a maniac jumping on and off you, slashing and beating you to death! There's not a weak moment at all throughout the record and these guys deserve global attention! Implant, Meatgrinder and Andery - where have you been all my life??? (9/10 - Padde)

ANAALIA - Mind Monstrosityanaalia.jpg
(Goregeous Productions, 2010)
I'm always anxious when I'm about to hear grind records from the Czech Republic! This debut has a great mixture of goregrind and grindcore, which especially is to be noticed in the tracks 'USatan' and 'Sololit Organism'. I like the variations with the vocals like how they start with regular growls for a bit and then shoves the vocal chords right down a meatgrinder and finnish it off with gore gargles and pig squeals! 'Gastro Graveyard' is one of the best tracks, it fools you to be a short one but it breaks out in a heavy mosh fest! 'Suicidal Lessons' should have been better off as the last track due to it's melancholy, but then again the last track 'McVomit' wouldn't have fit anywhere else because of it's outro - which, by the way, gets an extra point for containing Jules, muthafucka! (8/10 - Padde)

apocalyptic-vision.jpgAPOCALYPTIC VISIONS - Leave None Living
(Self-released, 2008)
United states have so many fucking great bands, especially when it comes to death metal.
Apocalyptic Visions is an unknown band to me so when I put this CD in my stereo I was very curious about the music.
'Leave us alone' starts with some really ball cracking songs and this album really stands out compared to many other death metal bands. It's like a journey through hell!! Well played death metal with alot of elements through the album makes it pretty entertaining. Though it tends to be a little bit too much with 19 tracks, I should say maximum 13 to satisfy my needs!  (7/10 - Martin)

atricious.jpgATROCIOUS ABNORMALITY - Echoes of the Rotting
(Comatose Music, 2007)
This piece of well-playes extreme brutality starts of with a hammering jawbreaker in form of 'Dead In Sixty Seconds'. The Texas sickos knows their death metal and they play it fast and various, from raging grinds to heavy slam! The sick vocals of Steve Green (Lust Of Decay) fits well to the even sicker lyrics, especially 'The Birth Of Violence'. The sound and production is really good aswell. The cover of Misfits' 'Mommy, Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight' would have been better off as the last track of the record, it feels like the last two tracks doesn't get as much attention as the rest of the tracks, which is kind of bad since the title track is pretty awesome and I just love how Al Bundy finnish it off! Really great CD, slamming brutal death metal! If you like Sickening Horror, Lust Of Decay and Devourment then buy this one, because you won't get disappointed! (7/10 - Padde)

birdflesh_farmers.jpgBIRDFLESH - The Farmers Wrath
(Obscene productions, 2008)
Swedish grind tornado Birdflesh returns with new album 'The farmers wrath', loaded with 26 tracks of intense grind and a big portion of humour. The album breaks loose with 'Download death' - a catchy and pretty cool introduction song! This is the perfect CD for your party! With titles like 'Goatrider', 'The flying penis' and 'Some kind of mongo' I recommend all grinders to get a copy of this piece of grind massacre! Not your typical grind album and that's what makes Birdflesh pretty genuine! The dual vocal attacks works perfect, pretty odd with a screaming drummer! Catchy riffs, mosh breakdowns aswell as grind blasts wraps all this mess together in a nice mix! Anger, hate and fucking humour grind! I love it! (8/10 - Martin)

blasphemer1.jpgBLASPHEMER - On The Inexistence of God
(Comatose Music, 2008)
Didn't know that Blasphemer has been around the underground since 1998. I got interested in this band when I watched Septycal Gorge play a show last weekend. The bass player Claude De Rossa plays bass in both Blasphemer and Septycal Gorge and when we sat and ate breakfast together he recommended me to check out his other band Blasphemer, and I did!! Hell yeah! This is some really good stuff, probably one of the best brutal albums of 2008! Blasphemer is a band you can count on; fast, guttural and brutal death metal with a perfect production. The vocals is guttural and pig'like' screams! With song titles like 'The Killing Dogma', '38-Gauge Absolution' and my favourite 'Compulsive Obliteration' you have some really brutal tunes. I will definitely put this album in my 'favourites' in my CD collection. If you're into bands like Disavowed, Lust of Decay, Putrid Pile, Malignancy you should check out this CD! It will knock you down and leave you dead!! (8/10 - Martin)

BODYSNATCH - Universe Of Gory Talesbodysnatch.jpg
(Rising Nemesis, 2009)
A 3-track of gore and slam with each song reaching for the 6 minute barrier. First off is 'Crypt Of Gore' which starts with a massive chew that transforms into brutal slam. I get reminded of Meshuggah somehow - especially during the first solo, then it kind of hits me that this is Meshuggah dressed in gore. Towards the end, they give a funky bass-part that turns into total crushing. Next up is 'In The Chamber Of Anger' with intensive guitar patterns, which makes Bodysnatch stand out when it comes to this gore drenched death metal. Great vocals as well from Livio, who also stands for the (programmed?) drums. Last to go is the title track, which has simpler arrangement that it's forerunner, a headbanging fucker with a really great solo. The guitars, however, sounds too sloppy from time to time - but no biggie! (6/10 - Padde)

BOWEL STEW - Necrocannibal Ritesbowel.jpg
(Disgorgement Of Squash Bodies Records, 2003)
This 2-piece gives you straight-up goregrind with a half-shitty production the old school way! Their stuff actually brings my mind to Paracoccidioidomicosispractitissarcumocosis with their disgusting song titles; 'Abnormal Rectal Constipation', 'Lymphatic Varicosities In The Scrotum', 'Disgorgement Of Squash Clitoris', and my favourite 'Stench Of Rotten Gore' among other yucky song titles you don't understand the half of asa Swedish just-above-standard English-learned guy at 22. Anyway, as said: straight up, no-bullshitting goregrind with disturbing samples and sick vocals. They shuffle between standard-long and short songs, and you really don't know exactly where you have them. The cover of GUT's 'Perpetual Sperm Injection' is definately one of the highlights on this disc! (6/10 - Padde)

cc-evisceration.jpgCANNIBAL CORPSE - Evisceration Plague
(Metal Blade, 2009)
After 2006's 'KILL' I didn't know what to expect for this one, since I found 'KILL' a bit boring. Sure it has it's tops but there was something to it that didn't get to me like Cannibal Corpse usually has a tendency to do. So I bought 'Evisceration Plague', put it in my stereo and after merely 39 minutes I was one lucky son of a bitch! This record flirts withall the other Cannibal Corpse releases, 'Shatter Their Bones' (signed Rob Barret) takes you all the way back to 'Eaten Back To Life' with it's straight forward ripping death metal madness while 'Evidence In The Furnace' seems like the song 'Vile' forgot. The title track would've been a perfect fit on 'Gallery Of Suicide'. The technicality matches 'Bloodthirst' and 'The Wretched Spawn' and the furious hate from 'Butchered At Birth' is strongly recognizable! 'Evisceration Plague' is like a best of, but with new songs and a production that allows standing ovations signed Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, ex-Morbid Angel), who also contributes a solo to the odd but killer track 'Unnatural'. The only thing that lowers this piece of massacre from a full score is the discretion in the album cover (covers are important for me, and I want full frontal gore when it comes to Cannibal Corpse). It's a cool cover, but something's missing. I also feel like there's one or two tracks too much but then again all the tracks are more or less brilliant in their own way! Fuck it, Cannibal Corpse still remains as one of the best death metal acts, my opinion! Plague leads to death!!! (9/10 - Padde)

CARNALIST - Genocide and the Supremacy of Aggression carnalist-cover.jpg
(Goregeous productions, 2009)
This EP feels more like a sampler due to it's short songs. I want this kind of death metal (chaotic and somewhat technical) to be longer and to have a lot 'more'. It's easy to tell that that these guys has the capability to write 'bigger' songs, it seems (sounds) like they settle easy and are too eager. These songs are great though, even if the major duration of the songs are 3 minutes. Great riffs and structures and Kopro's guttural achievments are great and the breakdown in 'Malicious Compulsion' gives me goosebumps! The dry drum sound keeps bugging me, but no biggie! Good job, Ystadsvin! (7/10 - Padde)

CEPHALOTRIPSY - Uterovaginal Insertion Of Extirpated Anomaliescephalo.jpg
(Amputated Vein records, 2008)
Now, this is one killer slam-fest! I can't help myself from listening to this sickness over and over again. The production is great and the music is as close to Devourment as it can get - slow, heavy,
hammering grinds (and actually well-played gravity blasts) and completely crushing guitars! I can't do anything but to hail this band and this record, and especially it's title track! The diarrhoea vocals of Angel Ochoa are beautifully brutal and fits everything on this disc more than perfect. The lyrics are also screamingly sick, for example in 'Embryonic Gastronomy': 'I begin to gorge on viscera/vein and melena/bleeding profusely/this feast doesn't stop', damn right, the feast is eternal in Cephalotripsy! Check this sickness out - if not PRIORITIZE! Amputated Vein does not lie when they say: 'No fillers, no bullshit, brutality at it's finest!' (10/10 - Padde)

cesspool1.jpgCESSPOOL OF VERMIN - Beastial Necrophilia
(Sevared records, 2008)
Somewhat groovy death metal in the more brutal way with awesome slam parts, killer riffs and deadly vocals! Cesspool Of Vermin delivers sick and twisted shit and this first full-lenght almost has it all, except the drum sound! The drums sounds like they're programmed, I try to see (hear) past it but it keeps bugging me. Usually, I don't have anything against programmed drums but when there's a drummer listed in the booklet it's a whole other thing. I know there's a real drummer playing but the producer must've missed something here since the other instruments sound really great! The lyrics are ultra sick and the cover is one of the coolest ones ever - a girl being raped in the ass by a pig while sucking off a decomposed dog, brilliant! Besides all this greatness, although the songs are awesome, the record gets kind of boring towards the end for some reason. Still worth checking out, though! (6/10 - Padde)

choked-shit_autopsy.jpgCHOKED BY OWN VOMITS - Shit Autopsy
(Nice to eat you records, 2009)
The Czech grind scene is propably the best in the world, like their beer! You can count on it and I'm a huge fan of especially the gore grind genre! Here comes Choked by own vomits which blends traditional grindcore, gore grind, death metal and mix it up nicely! For fans of Jig-ai, Stoma, Spasm, Regurgitate, XXX Maniak! 'Shit Autopsy' has 16 tracks of fast and wellplayed gore grind! I like when singers use different styles; on this album you can hear pigs, frogs and guttural vocals and it's awesome! 'A shit nailed to the wall', 'I'm gonna vomit', 'Shit autopsy' and 'One half does not jabber' are my favourites on this disc! For the next album I want to hear more variation as it tends to be little bit repetitive! (7/10 - Martin)

corporectomy.jpgCORPORECTOMY - Within the Weak and the Wounded
(Sevared records, 2009)
Hold on to your limbs!! German new comers CORPORECTOMY unleash 5 tracks of bonecrushing brutal death metal on their debut EP 'Within the Weak and the Wounded'. This is pure fucking slaughter and I can't stop headbanging when listen to this massacre! Great production and compact, the way it should be!! Guttural vocals, fleshripping riffs and dynamic drums is important within this genre to keep the songs interesting and rememberable. With song titles like 'Bottom feeder', 'Born backwards' you'll get the point. One of my favourites of 2009! Can't wait to hear more from Corporectomy. (9/10 - Martin)

Corporectomy delivers angry brutality with vocals that vary! It's not just non-stop chaos, there's melodies and mid-tempo parts here and there and they manage to keep a good flow throughout the record! But, it's when I reach the final track ("Erased From The Canvas Of History") that I really fly out of the couch! I can honestly say that this is one of the best songs I've ever heard. It's insanely hard and it goes straight into your bones and breaks it all into pieces. This is also one of those records that grows on you and gets better with everytime you listen to it until it reaches it's point to a timeless classic! I'm eagerly looking forward to more stuff from this band! (9/10 - Padde)

deoag.jpgDESTRUCTIVE EXPLOSION OF ANAL GARLAND - Cutterclit
(Bizarre Leprous, 2008)
This Jig-Ai offspring delivers brutal, uncompromising goregrind with sick vomit vocals, screaming guitars and a really awesome drum sound! They cover every type of goregrind from really sloppy and groovy parts (like Cock And Ball Torture) to outrageous (almost uncontrolled) and insane Last Days Of Humanity-style grinding, especially in the track 'Dot, Comma, Exclamation Mark, Pussy, It's Hooligan'. The track 'Sick Banzig' is to be noticed for it's slam! Destructive Explosion Of Anal Garland doesn't given a fuck, and it can be told in the cool song titles such 'Hi, Shall I Fuck You?', 'Tearing Up Her Cavity With My Rabity', 'All Her Species Are From Her Feces' and 'Hole In My Pole' etc. This record is just what the cover says: TOTAL MASSACRE GORE MACHINE! If anyone knows how to fuck things up with goregrind, it's the Czech Republic, and DEOAG is living proof! (8/10 - Padde)

DYING FETUS - Descend Into Depravitydyingfetus-descend.jpg
(Relapse records, 2009)
Dying Fetus proves that they are the leaders of death metal. This band needs no description, they have delivered quality death metal since the first album 'Purification through violence' back in 1996. Dying fetus has always pushed the limits and for each album they have improved but still kept the unique sound that Dying fetus is known for. I think the previous album 'War of Attrition' was a bit mediocre but since Dying fetus is one of my favourite bands I was very excited to hear the new stuff. Before the album was released the band uploaded three songs on Myspace and for each of those new songs I heard I was totally blown away. And it was no doubt about it; Dying fetus has done it again! A bonecrushing album! I grabbed the Relapse t-shirt + digipack (which also includes a killer artwork, patch and sticker). 'Descend into Depravity' has top-notch production, I especially like the production because of the compact mix of it. Trey Williams is one hell of a tight drummer, Dying fetus has found a drummer that can take their music to higher levels. Sean Beasleys vocals are better this time, there's a better mix between his and John Gallagher's vocal arrangements, compared to 'War of attrition'. The guitar sound is brutal and polished, the way it should be when it comes to tight technical death metal without compromises, and a plus is that you can hear the bass pumping clearly in all songs. There's 8 tracks on the album and if you can get your hands on the Japanese version you'll get 2 bonus tracks. 'Shepherd's commandment' is the best song on the album. Check out this album or die!!!  (10/10 - Martin)

eviscerated1.jpgEVISCERATED - Gorging on Rotting Entrails
(Sevared records, 2007)
Three-piece of brutal death metal from Texas! The songs on this disc are really great and they handle their instruments pretty well, and it's that kind of death metal you just want to mosh the shit out of you to. But the production!! The guitars are way too screamy! I get that extreme metal are supposed to be loud and noisy, as a matter of fact I love my music loud and noisy! But the guitars on this piece of butchery takes over everything else, which is sad because (as said) the songs are great! It might just be my two JWS-designed Unique 5000 speakers that sucks! The guitar solo in 'Toilet Bowel Bowels' is way unnecessary. It would've been so much better without it, it's the only solo on the record and it's way missplaced in the mix, sorry! If anything, it's a real good album to be played in the background while pounding beer with your friends! (6/10)

fracturedinsanity.jpgFRACTURED INSANITY - When Mankind Becomes Deceased
(Goregiastic records, 2007)
When I first heard these Belgian freaks (the song 'Perished' from this record) I instantly got goosebumps all over! It's fast, blasting and hateful brutal death metal to the bone! The CD breaks your neck when it blasts through it's 9 tracks, which are all well-written and well-played. It's easy to hear that alot of time as been put to the song writing and vocal patterns, aswell as the really good breaks in the songs! There's honestly not one weak moment throughout the entire record, impressive! You know those classical openings of songs that sticks to your brain and never leave? Like Cannibal Corpse's 'Hammer Smashed Face', Dying Fetus' 'Praise The Lord', Malevolent Creation's 'Manic Demise' and so on? Trust me when I say that 'All Shall Fade' from this massacre will be one of those songs!! Fucking great disc, BUY IT!!!! (10/10 - Padde)

general-surgery-butcherabc.jpgGENERAL SURGERY/BUTCHER ABC - Split
(Obliteration records, 2009)
First out on this gore drenched split is Swedish death/gore grind masters General Surgery. 7 tracks of bonecrushing and braincarving songs. This is gore and I love it! Brutal, heavy as hell and I must say that I'm really impressed! The songs 'Visceral Asphyxiation' and 'Recreational Decerebration' totally blows me away - these are my favourites! The production is great aswell as the mix! And since I'm a huge fan of old school gore grind this disc will probably be played many times. Japan's Butcher ABC continues with new 5 tracks! Good stuff, a bit different to General Surgery... more groove and I recognize a more catchy sound compared to their old stuff, like 'Butchered at Birthday'! This is one of the best split-CD's for 2009! GORE for the masses! (8/10 - Martin)

HAEMOPHAGUS/BLOODRAISED/SICK BONG HEADQUARTER - Split split.jpg
(Goregeous productions, 2009)
Haemophagus
plays raw and heavy death metal with really early old school influences, especially on the tracks 'Attack Of The Bums From Hell' and 'The Mournful March'. 'Trichomoniasis' reek of Repulsion with it's uncompromising touch! The production is fucking awesome aswell! (8/10)
Bloodraised is some kind of grindcore-death with female vocals. It's chaotic and fast and I can imagine this band being a killer live. Unusual with a cover of Nirvana's 'Floyd The Barber', just too bad I'm not that familiar with Nirvana so I really don't know what to think. This is not my cup of of grind, but it's definately not bad! (6/10)
The stoners (I presume) in Sick Bong Headquarter delivers gory grindcore with sick vocals (except for the screamy ones which are plain useless!) and a dirty production! 'B-Movie Sexy Star' could've easily been signed Last Days Of Humanity. The theme for 'We Are Sick' are just lame, these kind of short attacks should not be used to proclaim yourself as sick - that is just lame and makes it unserious (in a bad way!), according to me! 'Tsunami'O'Matic' will be a classic in my stereo for years to come, though! (7/10 - Padde)

HUMAN FILLETED - Hideous Sculptures of the Dead humanfilleted.jpg
(Crematorium records, 2008)
This record is a real death metal massacre in the vein of Dying Fetus. From raging grinds ('Remembering How She Bled') to head slamming evilness ('Kept Alive For Torture'), this disc sounds good all the way through. The song structures are great aswell as the vocal patterns, it's not just braindead brutality - there's some thought behind this, and that's always welcome!
One cool (rather strange, since it's only me who hears it) thing is that the sound of the vocals keeps reminding me of Johan Lindstrand (The Crown - R.I.P/One Man Army & The Undead Quartet) and Peter Tägtgren on Bloodbath's 'Nightmares Made Flesh'! I also like how they keep the grind going for longer parts without it getting dull - which is an easy 'mistake' to make in this kind of death metal. This is definately a record I will listen to more than once, and a band I will keep my eye on! (8/10 - Padde)

HUMAN MASTICATION - Grotesque Mastication Of Putrid Innards
Sevared records, 2009)human.m.jpg
Brutal fucking death metal with your typical riffs and chaotic drums and pot-snare. The vocals are pretty dull, with absolutely no articulating and just long grunts and squeals, it works however more as an instrument than just vocals in this case. It's so easy, I guess, to just be one of the many when it comes to this music. There are millions of bands in the states that sounds like this so it's hard to mark yourself. But then again, this music isn't about reaching the mainstream, it's about (in my opinion and experience) the freedom to blast your ass off with agression and just having a good time. I seriously don't get the small 'spaced out' part towards the end of 'Unparalelled Perversion', it has become pretty common in this music to have these small, fucked-up out of nowhere parts here and there but sometimes it actually works. There's a gravity blast in 'Necrophilia In The Church' that I cred with all my heart! This disc is nothing out of the ordninary, but goddamn does it tickle my balls! (7/10 - Padde)

IN ARTICULO MORTIS - The Day After The Darkest Dayin-arti.jpg
(Nice To Eat You Records, 2009)
This is brutal death metal with groovy stains and a boner for grind. The production tickles my balls because everything is clear even though it's chaotic and the vocals are deep and guttural. To me, this is beer pounding death metal and you can't keep yourself from banging along. 'Soulhell' is Cannibal Corpse in a much more simpler version and the title track is just simply hard as fuck! An extra star for 'Unclefucker' - all because I'm a South Park maniac. The song itself isn't that much for display and it's not a cover either, atleast what I can hear. I can't say more than this is totally worth checking out! (6/10 - Padde)

infernalre.jpgINFERNAL REVULSION - Devastate Under Hallucination
(Goregiastic records, 2007)
'New breed of Kansai brutality', these guys from Japan sure knows what brutality is about! Their fierce mix of Dying Fetus and Devourment is well-played and really various, which can be heard on the tracks 'Chain Of Blunder' and 'Seventh Curse' - probably the strongest tracks on this record. The track 'Trapped In Concrete, Seek Insanity' just makes me want to jump right off the couch and mosh the room to pieces! I'm not so stoked on the slightly dry drum sound, but it doesn't bother me that much - I've heard worse! The cool beat and part shiftings throughout the songs makes it a really interesting record and you definately want to hear it all the way through the 8 tracks. It's a cool record and definately worth buying! (7/10 - Padde)

inhumate1.jpgINHUMATE - The Fifth Season
(Self-released, 2009)
The French grind tornado INHUMATE is back with a new fresh album. Last time I heard this band was a couple of years ago when I grabbed 'Life', a pretty average album without any new surprices. So now when I put 'The fifth season' in my CD-player and pressed play I didn't know how the new stuff would sound. The album starts with a blast, first song 'Human?' totally blows me away. This is aggressive death/grind and I must say I'm impressed. Blasting drums, a vocalist that almost sounds like a mad dog on acid! All this mixed with axe grinding guitar riffing. Maybe not the most varied album but what the hell, this is one hell of brutal disc and INHUMATE proves that they can handle their instruments and create some really brutal songs and wrap eacute;m all together in nice mix. This is brutal death metal, the CD has 19 tracks and this CD will be played several times when I party with my friends. Now, let's continue banging to the remaining songs '59 seconds', 'Mic crusher' and, 'Obey'. CHEERS!! (7/10 - Martin)

MENTAL DEMISE - Final Step To Future Madness mentaldemise.jpg
(Xtreem Music, 2009)
This shit is fast, honestly this is death metal on speed!!! Sometimes you don't even have a chance to react before they blast pass you and leave you skinned! The more I listen to this disc (5 times in a row, after the first round!) the better it gets and I get 'fuck every other band'-thoughts. They take old school death metal and mixes it with American brutal death metal and season it grind and forces it all into one brew of ultra-aggressive and lethal death metal and shoves it straigh down your throat, it's as if I get an orgasm!! It's average growls mixed with screaming growls, sometimes on top of eachother Benton-style. 'Controlable Terrorisation' brought a tear to my eye and the crossing from "Drowning In To The Mental Demise' and 'Why Do You Need A God?' gave me goosebumps! Do not question these guys because they will kill you! (10/10 - Padde)

orcustus.jpgORCUSTUS - Orcustus
(Southern Lord, 2009)
Orcustus has been around in the black metal scene since 2002, having released a demo and the two superb EPs World dirtnap and Wrathrash. Now - finally, if I may say - the first full-length is out, filled with 41:43 minutes of necro tunes. I may be biased, but there's really nothing to complain about here: every song offers something unique to keep you interested while still following the Orcustus-sound theme, and the production is excellent, keeping a fine balance between sounding professional while still keeping it dirty and old school. The more I listen to it, the more I'm convinced that this could easily be the release of the year. If you like it raw, primitive and unholy, this is definitly a record you should look up and add to your record shelf (mp3 doesn't count!). It's nice to know there's still some evil lurking in Norway! (9/10 - Åsa)

pigsty-planet.jpgPIGSTY - Planet of the Pigs
(Bizarre Leprous, 2009)
The pigs are back! I remember last time I reviewed Pigsty and it was around 2005 when they released 'Pigs are back' and since then this Czech grind tornado has released 'Living Dead Stars' + a repress of their first album 'The Return'. Now they are back with 10 new tracks and every time I hear something new from Pigsty I get really happy, cause these guys has their own sound, no other band sounds like Pigsty! Prepare for a an album filled with grind, hardcore, death!! The only thing I could complain about is that there should be more of Topi's pig vocals but this is not that important because this disc of grind mayhem satisfy all my needs. 'Demon Alcohol', 'Brand-new Dawn' are my favourites. (9/10 - Martin)

The pigs are back again - more metal than ever before! Pigsty becomes more metal for every release, I think! The 10-track CD has a production that ripps your soul in half! I would like to call this CD a bit experimental, first of all because of all the metal and hardcore influences (more than usualy) and then because there's alot of stuff that has Meshuggah all over it! The songs are dynamic and I think 'Planet Of The Pigs' will take Pigsty even higher! It's a really great record and due to the awesome production on the face smashing parts you just want to destroy everything in your way when you hear it - but it doesn't beat 'The Return'!
(8/10 - Padde)

PULMONARY FIBROSIS/GUTSLIT - Contorted Mutilation Splitpulmonaryfibrosis.jpg
(Cataleptic Remains, 2009)
France and India meet on this goresoaked split, and it is actually as interesting as it sounds! First out is Pulmonary Fibrosis, who holds the French banner. They offer disgusting downtuned goregrind chaos with vomit vocals and an uncompromising middle finger in your face. A gorebeat always gives me goosebumps, and that's exactly what they're doing in the opening track 'Rancid Coprophagic Blists'. Next up, the sick fuckers in Gutslit from India! Ultra brutal death metal that probably made my neighbours wonder what the fuck I was slaughtering! The vocals vary frantically between deep growls and sharp pig squeals, there's also high-pitched screams in the final track
'Catherine Wheel'. Great split, maximum grindness! (7/10 - Padde)

PUTRID PILE - House of Dementia
(Sevared records, 2009)
Shaun is back with his brutal death machine Putrid Pile. This is the third fullength from Putrid Pile and I must say I'm impressed. I have followed Putrid Pile since the first release 'Collection of Butchery' and it seems that every release improves and shows a  more compact and skilled music creation. What really impresses me is the drum sound, your can't barely hear that the drums are programmed on 'House of Dementia'. The album has 13 tracks including one intro. The first song 'Dead' is like a fucking machine gun riffing bulldozer combined with Shauns guttural throat makes this song one of the best on the record. 'God of Degradation' has some melodic stuff that fits this tornado perfect and 'Blood Runs Red' shows up some groovy brutality that mix this mess up well! I recommend this album to everyone into brutal music! It's worth every penny in your pocket! (8/10 - Martin)

razorrape-slipcase.jpgRAZORRAPE - Deep Red
(Goregeous productions, 2009)
This goregrind attack blasts off with an intro that declares war and the war starts with the best track on this EP (track #2), 'Deep Red'. It's fierce and dangerous in true goregrind manouvers. Sick squeals and twisted gurgles on top of gutripping riffs and blasting grinds. In my opinion, RazorRape could've chosen another cover instead of Dying Fetus' 'Kill Your Mother/Rape Your Dog'. It's a good song to do live because everyone knows it, but that's the 'problem' on the record since the song has become boring (in lack of a better word) because you've already heard it 10.000 times. Don't get me wrong, it's a timeless classic, but you get the point! The rough mix of the title track that comes as a bonus on the 'deluxe gore edition' is cool as fuck, since the vocals sound twice as sick there! (8/10)

rectal.s.jpgRECTAL SMEGMA - Keep on Smiling
(Bizarre Leprous, 2008)
The Dutch gore grinders RECTAL SMEGMA is back with a new album. This is raw and filthy stuff that probably will satisfy all fans of porn themed gore grind á la Rompeprop, Pussyvibes and the likes! Slimy and downpitched vocals and a kick-ass raw production. The front cover has it all, it's awesome! (7/10 - Martin)

sathanas.jpgSATHANAS - Nightrealm Apocalypse
(Pagan records, 2009)
US black metallers SATHANAS have been around since I was 6 years old, 1988 to be exact! This is old-school black metal with death/thrash influences! Mixed in mighty Necromorbus studion, Sweden! 'Nightrealm Apocalypse' is a fine piece of meat if you ask me, it has a clear and razor sharp production and the 10 tracks have all the ingredients that is important within this kind of music. Bands like Dissection (the early stuff), Soulreaper and Watain pops up in my head along my journey through 'Nightrealm Apocalypse'. This is hell and right now I'm about to bang my head to my favourite song 'Cult of blood'. Check out this album! (7/10 - Martin)

sexcrement.jpgSEXCREMENT - Genitals From the Porno Potty
(Deathmetal.us, 2007)
This shit is so good that it should be played through a pair of really giant speakers that reaches every ear on the planet! It's a mixture of gory, brutal slam and groovy death 'n roll with sick porno lyrics. I laughed my ass off while reading the lyrics for 'Colonel Angus', which is a romantic love story in the middle of all the other twisted porno ones. Really well-played (especially the drums) and awesome structures both music-wise and song-wise. The vocals vary between deep growls, sick gargles and Exhumed-like screams while the music goes from groovy slam parts to awesome grinds and almost rock 'n roll-type beats, unique! It never gets dull and you're still hungry for more Sexcrement after the last track! Check out these songs: 'Colostomy Bag Condom', 'Camel Toe Rodeo' and 'Botched Boob Job' - they're instant killers! Full score, no doubt! (10/10 - Padde)

sikfuk1.jpgSIKFUK - Teabagged at Birth
(Goregiastic records, 2006)
This was when Cpt. Shitbeard didn't have the beard and before SikFuk became a one man band with programmed drums. The drummer on this record (Jake The Muthafuking Tardsnake) is just as chaotic as the rest of the stuff on this CD. If you make chaotic slam gore like SikFuk, you really need a real drummer or else it gets kind of dull. Anyway, this is a really sick and depraved record with chaotic drums, fucked up guitars and completely sick and inhuman (almost psychotic) vocals. The Tardgrinder really knows how to make vocal patterns like no other and the vocal patterns in the track 'Deadhooker Double Penetration' is probably the coolest patterns ever made! According to the booklet, 'the vocals where done in one take, one try, no effects and while doing shots of clear ass booze', aswell as the drums except for 'Fucked With A Dildo Bong' which took two! Pretty impressive! (8/10 - Padde)

sfu_-_deatrituals.jpgSIX FEET UNDER - Death Rituals
(Metal Blade records, 2008)
The following thing I'm about to write are NOT to be misunderstood and I don't mean it in a bad way: when I put a Six Feet Under CD in my stereo for the first time, I kind of already know what to expect! It was the same thing with this one, although I got fooled! The record opens with a melancholy guitar part (and I mean, that alone...!) that sweeps off to a malevolent riff that is about to split you open, and it does when the rest of the band comes slamming in! This is without a doubt the Six Feet Under album with most variety, solos, brutality and depth in the voice
of zombiemeister Chris Barnes! There are some minuses though, like the cover of Mötley Crue's 'Bastard' in the middle of everything. Could be that I'm not into Mötley Crue at all or that I'm just tired of the 'Graveyard Classics'-syndrome. I don't know, but I think the records would've managed just as well without the track as with it. I also don't find 'Crossroads To Armageddon' cool at all, sure it stands out and it's unexpected, sorry Chris! And why is the outro listed as the track before the last track when 'Murder Addiction' isn't a special track? Besides those small things, it's a really great album and it's totally worth checking out! (8/10 - Padde)

SOCIAL SHIT - Grinder Kaos  social-shit.jpg
(Disembodied records, 2007)
South American chaotic grinder kaos - just as the cover says. Last Days Of Humanity must be proud of these guys because you clearly hear the influences all over the 20 tracks! And that's good, because this kind of grind with this kind of snare drum sound (fucking love it!) is by far the most intense grind ever! The artwork is sick aswell, especially in the booklet with pictures of splattered bodies, brutal porn and such. The drummer, who goes by the name of Pigblood is one insane fucker with sick speed in his grind! The record really lives up to it's title and if you want to blow your brains out - this is probably the right CD to do it to!
(9/10 - Padde)

TERRORDROME - Vehement Convulsion   terrordrome.jpg
(Grindethic records, 2008)
In the name of Grind I bow for these insane fuckers from Greece! This is ultra brutal death metal with fatal vocals and extremely well-played percision. Mindblowing song structures, great crossings and they manage to squeeze in great melodies in the middle of all the grinding! It's sad that the 11-track CD ends after 29 minutes and 14 seconds, because I want MORE!!! If you want a lesson on how brutality is handled, get this CD at any cost and listen to the tracks 'Infected Fornication' and 'Festivity Of Clitoris Licking'! There's really not much more to say about this record than that it's one GREAT FUCKING RECORD!!!! (10/10 - Padde)

torturekiller.jpgTORTURE KILLER - Swarm
(Metal Blade, 2006)
'Swarm' is an angry death metal machine with a high thirst for murder. It's easy to hear that Torture Killer is a hungry band. The groovy and heavy death metal with really violent lyrics and vocals lead by Chris Barnes (ex- Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under) really breaks your bones. The opening track 'Swarm!' starts the record with a fist in your face and when the guitar illustrates the sound of a million furious bees on a killing spree you can't avoid fucking loving it, and when Chris Barnes opens his mouth and growls out 'Swarm!' you know that this can't go wrong! The opening lines in the second track 'Forever Dead' (Trapped in the moment of death forever/Dead/I'm not a man, I'm a fucking beast!) really makes all my hairs stand up and I can't keep from smiling. Chris is at his top and the guys are not to fuck with! The record keeps going like this all the way to it's head slamming closing track 'A Violent Scene Of Death'. At first, I reacted strangely to the very melodic guitars at the end of 'Forever Dead', but after a while you really understand how well it fits the song! 'I Killed You' would fit well on Six Feet Under's 'True Carnage' (2001) and 'Multiple Counts Of Murder' directly takes your mind to 'Murdered In The Basement' from 2003's 'Bringer Of Blood' (both listed as track 4 on their records... coinsidence?). Also to be noticed is that Tuomo Latvala's drumming is awesome and adds small details to the songs which is something I find myself missing in Six Feet Under sometimes. Unless you are a big fan, chances are that this record could easly be mistaken for Six Feet Under, which is good in Torture Killer's case! Torture Killer takes Six Feet Under and steps the brutality up a notch, and Chris sounds pretty satisfied with that! This Six Feet Under replica deserves all the attention it can get! (9/10 - Padde)

urinefestival.jpgURINEFESTIVAL - Of a Hermaphroditic enema...
(Klysma records, 2002)
Down-pitched water or maybe even down-pitched urine? No, it's just the endobronchialtracheolarynhoeacpleura (!) vocals of Larve, Urinefestival. 'Of A Hermaphrodite...' - a performance of piss, porn and urology is a 66-track CD under a duration of 66 minutes (including the silence after track 66) by what might just be the sickest band ever (and I've hear ALOT of sick stuff)!! Recorded with only a very distorted bass, some hardcore porn samples, disgustingly sick vocals and a drum machine, this CD completely blows your mind! Urinefestival practically goes hand in hand with TUMOUR, but they're more brutal and chaotic. The best thing is that there are barely any silence throughout the record, if you don't watch your stereo you can't tell when the change of tracks happen. 1 hour of total gore massacre! The cover also speaks for the music itself, a close-up on a bloody, stitched-up vagina during some kind of surgery, SICK!! My friend told me while hearing parts of this record that this isn't music for the normal ear, and that's when it hit me: goddamn, life must be boring with normal ears! All up to Urinefestival!!! A must-hear!!! (8/10 - Padde)

VULVATHRONE - Bukkake
vulvathrone.jpg
(On Parole records, 2007)
Some kind of wierd combination of goregrind and brutal death metal. The Carcass influences are there but mostly the songs sound unstructured and half-hearted. Some golden ones has been squeezed in on this tecord though, like the 2-second 'Strije' (these kind of songs are always great!) and the somewhat monstrous 'Tarja, You Cunt!'. The completely stupid 'Porn, Porn, Porn' is kind of funny compared to the absolut BAD 'Marquise De Rais'. The growling vocals are guttural as hell but the screaming vocals totally sucks! It's hard to really get the production since, as said before, the songs sound unstructed, but the snare drum is not good at all. Sometimes you don't hear it! The intro and outro in 'Piss Bukkake' put a smile on my face though! But that's about it! (4/10 - Padde)
